How to Make Leche Flan

Leche flan is a popular dessert in the Philippines and other countries in Latin America and South Asia. Here is a recipe to make leche flan:

Ingredients:
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 10 egg yolks
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water

Instructions:

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).

2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the egg yolks, sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.

3. In a separate saucepan or skillet, combine the sugar and water over medium heat. Stir constantly until the sugar has dissolved and the syrup turns a light caramel color.

4. Pour the caramel syrup into a 9-inch round baking dish, tilting the dish to coat the bottom and sides evenly with the syrup.

5. Pour the egg mixture into the baking dish, using a strainer or cheesecloth to remove any lumps.

6. Cover the dish with aluminum foil, then place it in a larger baking dish or roasting pan. Fill the larger pan with hot water until it reaches halfway up the sides of the leche flan dish.

7. Bake the leche flan in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until the center is set but still jiggles slightly when shaken.

8. Remove the leche flan from the oven and allow it to cool. Once cooled to room temperature, refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight.

9. To serve, run a knife around the edges of the dish to loosen the leche flan, then invert it onto a serving platter. Serve chilled.

Enjoy your delicious Leche Flan!
